| Prayers Needed Please, I hope I am putting this in the correct forum. My Cousin was at the river in Laughlin, Nevada yesterday. My Aunt was operating a boat while my Cousin was getting in it, she accidentally put the boat in reverse and the propeller severed his leg at the knee. It actually cut through both knees, but one was almost totally removed. He was flown to Las Vegas, where the Doctors were able to re-attach his leg and there is a pulse in his foot! The next 72 hours will tell if he will be able to keep his leg or not. |

|  Grief.... I am so sorry to hear this. We raised our kids with boating, fishing, water skiing and just trips down or up the lake or river. Last night I was listening to my police scanner and a young juvenile Native American fell from a 40-50 foot rock cliff & died. It was so sad to hear all of the response units and the feeling in their voices. My husband had a leg amputated when he was 26 while working in logging. He got gas gangrene that made it impossible to save his leg. I remember how heartbreaking it was...we had been married three years when it happened. I hope you & your family will come together to support each other...my prayers go out to you.  kelsh |

| UPDATE: Well, yesterday they removed my cousins leg. The Dr. reattached it but it just was not working. He comes home in 4-5 days and we (my family) cleaned his house for him yesterday. I cannot even begin to imagine what that must feel like, he does have a problem with alcohol and I'm afraid the depression will trigger him to drink. |
