| Hurting
I am hurting over the loss of two dogs. We just had my mothers dog put down today because of his health. And she had one die a week ago. I just loved her dogs. I know some people will not understand but dog lovers will. Just been very upset today because I am going to miss them.

We have two new puppies running around here but I still miss Baby. As the days go on, the hurt gets replaced as I think on the happy memories. Know that the hurt will feel less painful as the days go on.

So sorry about your mom's dogs. In my house we have 4 cats and a chihuahau....they have all gotten me wrapped around their furry little paws. It is so painful when we lose them...they give us such joy, and ask for so little. It does get better, but for me, it's always taken a while. Hugs and prayers! Amy

Hugs and understanding from one dog lover to another. I actually have 2 cats, my son who lives here has 2 cats, and I also have 2 big dopey dogs who are 90-100 lbs each. My animals teach me so much about unconditional love, forgiveness, sheer joy, and how to take care of myself. It's sad when we lose a loved one. Be extra gentle with yourself. Perhaps go visit an animal shelter just to get some puppy love. Hugs Cats

Thank's all of you I know how my mom feels because I lost my cocker to cancer a year ago. And she has lost two dogs in a week. One was a poodle and the other was a bichion. I hated the part of playing god. Taking an animal to be put down is hard. But Tigger's quality of life was not very good. They say that putting a dog down can be your last gift to them. To take there pain away. I will miss those dogs, it will be tough going to my mothers for a while. I'm glad she still has one dog that is only two years old. I have a boxer, two bearded dragons, (lizards) a cockateil and 2 parakeets. I am glad that today I don't pick up a drink. I have learned that pro-longing pain is worse than dealing with it at the time.

It is so hard when we have to say goodbye. I'm dreading that decision I know I will have to make, soon, for one of my cats and one of my dogs. My heart goes out to you and your Mom. And I pray the memory of the love and joy that they gave you, and you to them, will comfort you both in the days to come.
