| Worldwide Candle Lighting
for childen who left too soon is tomorrow night at 7 PM. Sponsored by Compassionate Friends www.compassionatefriends.org The worldwide Candle Lighting is held every year on the second Sunday in December at 7 PM in every time zone, in remembrance of our children. As candles burn down in one time zone, they are lighted in the next, creating a 24-hour wave of light that encircles the globe. "Candle Lighting" It's time again to light the candles And while we view the burning flames We think of all our beloved children And hear the reading of their names. All who are here have suffered heartbreak We each have felt the crushing pain Our children dead, forever gone We can't forget them, so we came. To grasp a hand, to lend a shoulder With helping friends we all will gain Immense support and understanding And hope ... that we can live again. The candle lighting and remembrance Affirms for us this truth so plain; Our children do live on in our hearts And their love will always remain. ~ by Karen Story, TCF, Montgomery, AL ~ |

I'll be attending our local chapter's event. It's difficult...I have been struggling this weekend, and I know this is part of the reason. But once there, it is okay and I do find comfort. The anxiety in the anticipation is my problem...I think I just have a hard time facing that much emotion. I will be thinking of Jason and all our lost children tomorrow evening. Hugs and prayers.

I'm thinking of you (((Greet))) I love the sentiment of the 24-hour wave of light and have a special 5-candle tealight set that I light every year. In memory of Jason and Kristen, Aaron and Mariam, and my beloved miracle Trish Loved and missed every single day ... |

The service was beautiful and very meaningful. I thought and prayed for all our lost loved ones and those who miss them so.

I was hoping there was one in my area. It sounds so beautiful Greet. I went out to the cemetary tonight and lit all my sons candles and prayed for him, for our family, and our losses here as well. The candles are so comforting and peaceful. In Loving Memory Aaron, Jason, Kristen, Miriam, and Trish.
