| Remembering my dad ...
on the first anniversary of his death. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. ![]() missed and loved every day ... |

One of the hardest things about losing my dad is seeing the toll it's taken on my mother ... and knowing we can't fix that for her. I was toying with the idea of planting a tree this weekend at her place, in memory of my dad. I'm pretty big on that and we've planted trees in our own yard for Jason, for Miracle, for my dad. I got an e-card from my sis today, that she had arranged to have a tree planted in memory of my dad and the proceeds would benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. As a child born and raised on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, he would have liked that very much, I know. |

It was very hard for me to watch my mother in pain after my dad died. It has taken her several years to get through it. I'm now seeing her laugh again and see that sparkle in her eye again, but it isn't the same. It's very sad to watch someone who is elderly grieve. I think a tree is a wonderful tribute to your father. Hugs and prayers
