| 1 Year The wound of losing you still gapes wide open No scab has formed yet my pain still bleeds out I place my hands over it but still the pain seeps through The emotions of my grief permeate every part of me As I toss in this sea of sorrow may I cling to God. my dearest "daddy" (hubby's nickname) - it's been 1 year since you left and i'm working hard at working thru all the emotions. i'm trying to become whole for the first time in my life. even though you're not "here", you are teaching me much. i love you and miss you and am sorry if i didn't verbalize that to you enough. you see, that's part of the damage that the disease has wrought. i can only keep trying to put one foot in front of the other and continue to work on myself. it's a painful journey and i wish you were taking it with me. may God hold us both in his light and love.

(((((((cwohio))))))) Anniversarys are always difficult - the first one even more so. Your dad would have known you loved him very much. I'm sorry for your pain and your loss.

I am certain he knows how much you truly loved and still love him. I'm glad that he walks beside you in this journey of becoming whole. Please know that we are there with you too. Christie, you are in my prayers, and we are making this painful journey together, one day, sometimes one moment at a time. Your progress in this painful process is truly a sign that we are built to be survivors. He is with you and is helping pave the road for you on your journey to wholeness once again.
