| Attitude of gratitude
I am grateful for so much today. I am grateful that my Higher Power keeps me sober today and has relieved me of the compulsion to drink and drug. I was an addict/alcoholic for 12 years of my life, then spent 2 years 11 months incarcerated (this was after 3 incarcerations in three other states). Today, I am grateful not only for physicl freedom, but also spiritual freedom and mental freedom. I am grateful that I can carry the message to alcoholics and addicts who still suffer. I am grateful to be living every day closer to being fully relieved from the bondage of self. I am gratefull that today I have a choice and today I have chosen life. Keep it simple, one day at a time.
