Hi Stefanie - that's very sweet of you. Apparently there's just the three of us, though, out of...how many thousands of members??? And I have my doubts about Leti...LOL, no matter, nice of you to say hi. I love that avatar of yours - great colors. I'm an artist too, so appreciate when people make their own. Take care, Neasa.

wow, I just got done reading a Dylan biographical compilation at Barnes & Nobles for the last three hours. It contained actual copies of his handwritten song lyrics and the original variations and such... it was awesome. That just struck me as weird that I now read your Dylan quote. Thanx.

Erm, at the risk of seeming to be the official SR Spokesdyke (where did that Leti run off to?), I guess I can field these since I'm feeling chatty today. 1) Hiya Raistlin! Nice to meetcha & how you doin'? Ummm, did you want an honorary membership? That only comes with a Melissa Etheridge decoder ring. Cheap & cheesy I know, but hey, we're a struggling minority group here. Ya know, James Taylor has been an honorary lesbian since the early 80s, as has Dick Cheney, so you'd have some company of the testosterone persuasion. 2) babeekj, hiya to you also & welcome to this thread! I have no idea what we're all doing here, but take off your Birkenstocks & sit a spell! Sorry for your hetero state, but hey, God loves you anyway. Me, I don't mind straight people as long as they act gay in public. Your avatar is way cool, but the grrl isn't really my type. Is the dragon single & sober, though? 3) tink, welcome, welcome, welcome! I'm afraid that without a Gold-Star Lesbian Nation membership card you're not entitled to the toaster oven, but I'll look around & see can I scare you up a nice small appliance of some sort. Any preferences? *stay calm folks, just trying to lighten up the energy around my head last day or two*

my ex was a crack addict...i guess the dragon kinda stand for my ex and the girl stands for me...that is why it says dragon food above it. I kind of get this idea in my head the dragon is like my ex was he'll let her pet him and feed him...but when it gets cold out and food is scarce she'll be lunch. |

babeekj, I can relate, been there, done that. I kinda figured out the gist of the av last week or so when I first saw it, but I'm weird that way. I'm fascinated by peoples' avs & sig lines. You can sometimes tell a lot more about somebody by looking at those than by reading their posts in threads. Anyway, nice to visit with you!

Nice to meet you too, Amymarie. Isn't it cool how we inverts always manage to find each other in a crowd? LOL Glad you came back, I was getting kinda lonesome navigating the tour bus all by myself. Where're the rest of Lesbian Nation? Quotas, grrrls, we got quotas to fill! No new members, no small kitchen appliances! *sorry, birthday mania running amok*

when I was using I could find another doper anywhere. When I got straight ( as in clean and sober straight) it got to be where I can't turn around without meeting someone else who's in recovery. It's not a small world... It is a rather large trailer park. I'm not a lesbian but I am grateful your all here. Lesbians throw the best parties.. cept they don't invite enough single hetero chicks.

*tsk, tsk* Gooch, Gooch, Gooch (shaking head sadly) Dude. You've been looking for love in all the wrong trailer parks, guy. Besides, lesbian parties are really over-rated. Don't trust a thing you may have seen on The L-Word. That show's sooooo far from reality it isn't funny. We only watch it to laugh about how str8 men across America are drooling in their beards, lol. Well, I also watch it to drool over Shane & hiss at Jenny, but that's another thread. No, lesbian parties are more, shall we say...morose. Lots of vegetarian casseroles, flannel shirts, legislative speculation & NOW posters, at least in my age group. Who the heck knows what those crazy kids are up to. Ya want hetero chicas, ya need to go to one of the gay men's parties - that's where you'll find 'em, Dude. Just don't wear anything black leather or you'll be sending mixed signals to the boys & that could get, erm, awkward. If you have anything witty to say about pork medallions in plum sauce or can offer a thoughtful opinion about Shabby Chic vs. The Ralph Lauren Home, you'll win brownie points with the ladies too, 'cause that's why they're there in the first place, to be with guys who speak their language. Just trying to be helpful, here. Hiya Millwallj - there, there, it'll be ok. You're great just as you are, however that may be. Sometimes it's hard being a lesbian too, you never know if you haven't walked a mile in someone else's Doc Martens. But really, all things considered, I think it's the greatest thing in the world & wouldn't have it any other way, so I do understand your yearning. As a consolation, I'll make you an honorary lesbian if you want. I gave the last Melissa Etheridge decoder ring to Raistlin, but I think there's some old Meg Christian 8-tracks around the clubhouse somewhere, if that'll do.

I should have qualified my earlier endorsement of lesbian parties by precluding the age thing .. although I do so try not to discriminate through any process variety or non linear time/space continuum You did remind me of somethingto be grateful for though .. I remember years ago innocently enough following a connection for dope to a rather overtly friendly gathering of leather shelled predominately male patrons ata well decorated establishment in southeast NJ. I thought it funny that there wer no motorcyles in the parking lot. Today I am grateful I can send a signal .. and mostly not have it be misinterpretted.. lol
