| The first day of getting help
I am grateful for today being my first day of going to a meeting. I was extremely relieved to be surrounded (SP?) by gentle, open, and sympathetic addicts. Man, I really thought that it would be 'colder'. I am truly grateful and excited to stay clean & sober.

Way to go Brad!!!!! I'm so proud you went to a meeting!!!! I went to 3 meetings today!! Every one of them i learned something from. I just finally found myself a home group, which meets on wed nights. We had an amazing turnout tonight, lots of newcomers ![]() My first meeting was at our detox center, so step 1 meeting 2nd meeting was on Freedom...that was really good 3rd was step 6,,,course with the newcomers we also shared on step 1 We admitted we are powerless over alcohol and that our lives have become unmanageable. It was suggested to me early on to try to go to 90 meetings in 90 days...i just wanted out of the hell i was living...i wanted to live....i went to as many meetings as i could,,and still do today. Again right on,,,this is a big step in your recovery... ![]() \\// Wendy |
