| Gratitude
I am SO grateful for having the opportunity to spend some quality time with my grandson, Jade today. If I were drunk, would this 8 year old boy want to be spending time with me? Would his mom want him spending time with me? This little lad is so special, such a kind hearted and sweet child that he warms my heart right down to the very bottom and fills me with love. I have very severe rheumatoid arthritis, and not every day is a great day "health wise" -but thank God, today was not bad - so Jade and I had a great visit together. We love each other and we have such fun playing games together, riding bikes, playing Playstation, watching movies, whatever his little heart desires.
It is a precious gift to be able to be the kind of person who is important in the life of a young child..and I am so very, very grateful to have such a beautiful child in my life today. I owe every bit of it to AA and AlAnon.
