Im a little late posting today. And also very tired.I worked tonight and I am grateful to have the work. After all the wreckage and bridges I burned when I was using,it is a miracle anyone would hire me.I have a long road of recovery in front of me,a lot of wreckage to deal with, and as for all the bridges I have burned?Well, today I believe there is no bridge that can't be rebuild.I do have to keep reminding myself of that.I didnt just burn my bridges,I took dynamite to them. Then I would even destroy the road leading to the bridge.

Wow,what an awesome day! I am still pumped! And stuffed. Today was so cool,I went to some friends house I know from the program for Thanksgiving Dinner. We laughed and joked.Several other people from AA and Na came by to say hello. Also,I had several people call and text message me wishing me a happy Thanksgiving. Most of these were Na and AA people too.Hmmm,Im starting to see a pattern here.I sure dont ever recall any of my using and drinking buddies doing this.Never had a drug dealer invite me over for dinner.Yes,I am truly grateful. And also blessed. What an awesome Thanksgiving!

| I am grateful for all the friends I have met here at SR. I am grateful that I "stumbled upon" this site. I also want to express how grateful I am that God has let me experience the feeling of love this week. Real love. Thanks to God, aa, and soberrecovery, I have found a new way of life.Sherry

Today I am grateful that I am clean and sober. It was a good day. I spent alot of time talking to someone very dear to my heart. I also spent time with my 2 boys and took them bowling. It's wonderful to be sober. Life is so worth living. Thank you God for allowing me all these blessings

Well,Sunday evening and the long holiday weekend is over.Back to work in about 12 hours. But,its all good.I am so grateful to have a job to go to.It gives me a sense of belonging. When I was using I was unemployable.Today life is so much better. One day at a time,I do not get high. And the rewards, and gifts of sobriety are endless.

One of the many gifts of sobriety for me is that I can be grateful for the little things in life today.Sometimes it is so easy to forget,or not notice these little things.Or perhaps I could dwell on all the wreckage from my addiction I created.I will probably spend years making things right. But,today i choose to be grateful.Grateful for all the blessings in my life.A special lady, all my friends in recovery who care about me,and are always there for me.Having a job to go to everyday, and another day clean and sober. |

There sure are alot of gifts in sobriety, Michael. We just have to take the time to notice them. The biggest gift I have been given is that I now have a choice to not use. Then there's my new relationship with a wonderful man. I have 2 wonderful sons. I have a lot of friends in aa. I have a lot of friends here. I met someone from SR at my meeting tonight. I am grateful that God gave me the opportunity to reach out my hand and help someone. I am grateful for my life, completely.
