...the sound of the rain.

It's 2.40am and I can't sleep. Well, I've slept briefly but I woke up a couple of hours ago and was lying in bed worrying about things so I got up instead.

And now I'm snuggled on the sofa under a blanket with good coffee and the window is open just a bit and I'm smelling the freshness of the blanket I washed and dried on the line yesterday and I'm listening to the rain.

I'm grateful because I found SR and I don't need to worry and I don't need to drink because neither of those things is going to solve anything.

I'm sitting here, warm under my fresh smelling blanket and listening to the rain with a gentle breeze on my face at 2.40 in the morning and I'm grateful.
