Peace
I am grateful for four years sober. For my quiet, calm, peaceful and orderly home. Four years of learning a new way to live. The pleasure of knowing there is more to learn.
That I have banished chaos and drama from my life. Both in myself and that caused by others by learning the skill of detaching. That I live from a place of love now, instead of raging anger and conflict.
That I now walk in the opposite direction of 'excited misery'. It no longer attracts me like a magnet. That I have learnt to be a strong, self contained and independent adult. With good solid boundaries and sense of self.
Grateful to be in a happy marriage. Waking up each day to a clean slate. No mess to clear up from the day before, be it drinking behaviours or codie behaviours.
