grateful that like-minded people with similar problems and who just want a better freakin life come together and support each other all over the shop - SR, mutual aid groups, recovery services, Buddhist centres, a whole bunch of stuff (the world's worst-kept, biggest secret!)

Grateful I left work a little early today to see my original doctor. Last week I checked in to a different clinic due to time constraints and saw a PA (physician assistant) who prescribed me stuff that didn't knock out my cough/congestion all the way.
Sure enough my original doctor said today I have bronchitis and prescribed a stronger antibiotic and said the antibiotic I got last week from this PA won't do the trick for the bronchitis I have.
Grateful I have hope that I'll finally feel better now. After a while it wears on me and I get sick of taking these cold medications.

I am grateful to be on my 7th sober day, cooking up an awesome chicken and vegetable soup. I am incredibly grateful and BLOWN AWAY by one of my oldest (sober) friends turning up at my place half an hour ago with a massive (and pretty classy looking) juicer and a huge bag of fruits and vegetables to put through the thing! Completely unexpected and so kind, but she's always been like that. I'm feeling the love. Better get juicing, then
Grateful for a lovely PM from a newish SR member.
Grateful to go and have a cool shower on this hot evening.
Grateful to have my first ever Alexander McCall Smith to finish off tonight. It's so nice to find a new author you love!

Well, then, you can't have any of my mixed greens with the very-strange-but-tasty lemon/chocolate/thyme/cinnamon glaze. So there! (I know, you're probably thinking just as well, but they really were good.)
Grateful for a nice walk on a dreary rainy day and noticing the beautiful windows at the two schools nearby. Glad I'm making a point of actual looking around me when I'm walking or driving, noticing things I've passed by dozens of times.....
Grateful my stray/guest/temporary cat is so sweet. He purrs ALL THE TIME, I swear! I can't keep him, but it'll be sad to see him go.
Love and hugs,
Eddie
