This morning I am grateful for:
- being up to see my partner leave for work and NOT fighting like mad with him like yesterday morning... lol
- having some quiet time to myself before my day truly begins
- coffee. sweet sweet coffee
- looking forward to my meetings today
- having some housework to do before I leave for my nooner to help keep me busy
- my online Spanish class
- waking up sober on day 6 feeling better then I did yesterday
- and of course... the wonderful support of SR and the fact I stumbled across this lovely board.

Grateful for my book club that meets tonight, even though I didn't read the book. Grateful for the nice people in the club. Grateful I don't have to sneak out with my friend for a cigarette anymore.
Grateful to have gone to Zumba today, even though I was so tired after yesterday I got all the moves wrong!
Grateful to my partner for taking me out to lunch
Grateful that I can snooze this afternoon if I want to

alcoholism is an illness
Grateful for a visit from my oldest son who is a role model for success in every category.
When I look at him, I say, "that's my boy running down the field for a touchdown".
During dinner at a restaurant he drank the smallest glass of wine I have ever seen, and gave me his drinking responsibly talk.
He is not one of us, and even though he has lost 2 sisters to our disease, he does not understand alcoholism.
I need to be grateful for my six living children who do not have the craving illness.

Grateful that waking up whip tired is still a hundred times better than waking up hungover.
Grateful that I didn't lose my job when I nose dived into my worst relapse ever a few weeks ago.
Grateful that hope and a future orientation has replaced panic attacks and constant anxiety.
Grateful for you kind people.

Grateful for carrot lettuce watermelon celery juice, Cantelope and hot tea.
Grateful for getting lots of extra sleep this week in anticipation of stress tomorrow.
Grateful to get up before sunrise and see the full moon when I took the dog out, and then to see the sun rise shortly after.
Grateful for flowers from seed that will bloom soon.
Grateful for 945 consecutive sober days. It is never enough though.

I'm grateful for a stable job and income.

Grateful to wake up feeling good. Grateful for my continued sobriety and what I'm learning about myself. Grateful to be clearheaded. Grateful my obsession with drinking feels lifted. Grateful for my cravings for pot are not a part of my life. Grateful for the wealth of recovery materials available on the net, youtube, soberrecovery, etc, and time to appreciate and take advantage of them.
Thank you Opivotal for the new thread.
Congratulations on 945 days EQ! How wonderful!
Grateful for another sober morning.
Grateful for a day with only three meetings and time to focus on work.
Grateful (so grateful) for this community and its thought provoking and inspiring posts/blogs/messages.
Grateful for my kids who are growing up so fast.

Grateful for some of my neighbors and a fun book club meeting last night.
Grateful this summer has been so much better than last summer when I just newly got sober. Grateful to have a little time under my belt and although I still have anxiety, so grateful it is very much less than it used to be.

Grateful for HL and Marcher13 and all of the other great people on SR who are sharing their experience, strength and hope with me today.
I had a flame out yesterday and I said to myself, "this too will pass", and it did.
So today is a great day if I don't mess it up with your help.
