Grateful for being sober for 9 days, grateful for the chance to be sober tomorrow, grateful for my wife who has loved me and stood by me through thick and thin, grateful for my children, grateful to have a job, grateful it is sunny outside, grateful it's going to rain tomorrow...

Like Aly I am grateful the weekend is in sight.
Grateful to read the posts everyday -- food for the soul and fun to watch us grow.

Grateful for another day of life.

Grateful to realise that my life with all its ups and downs, is amazing.

Grateful to learn, that after all these years of trying to be worthy, I don't actually have to "do" anything to experience the love of God, it's unconditional.

Grateful for the wonderful insights on this thread

Grateful for a healthy breakfast

Grateful that the landscaping should be finished today - and my kettle can have a rest!

I have known this is true for a long time intellectually; however, I still catch myself feeling rotten when I am not actively being "useful." I am totally "works"-oriented; but, never having been much of an achiever of works, have never felt very worthwhile and have spent much of my adult life with a chip on my shoulder.

Sobriety has forced me to examine these issues more closely and roll away the stone for change.

Grateful for a bright and clear mind after a grand total of 3 hours' sleep!

Thank you Gilmer for describing my disease/illness/alcoholism.

And we don't have to live that way anymore by doing the next right thing.

Gratefull my sister asked for support to stop drinking on weekends.
Grateful I am an example of sobriety and no longer an example of hopelessness.
Grateful to monitor my thoughts like a garden and pluck out those weeds when they sprout and not scatter the seeds.
Grateful we are spiritual beings with a temporary body and will someday be free to fly unencumbered.

Grateful for a safe trip to Seattle and back.

Grateful my Godchild's wedding came and went with beautiful weather.

Grateful neither the bride or groom came down with this upper respiratory issue I came down with on the plane (yes on the way there).

Greatful that despite my constant failure, I keep coming back. I never would have in the past. And I never could have if it weren't for the inspiration here.

Grateful for another opportunity to make today a good day. It's all in my hands.

Grateful to be sober. Grateful for the willingness. Grateful to remember how I used to be. Grateful for the higher power that is relieving me of my obsession with alcohol and drugs. Grateful for some time after my meeting but before work to rest. Grateful to acknowledge that im deservedly tired after many long days of working and its OK to rest a little.

Grateful for the sound of the river I wake up to each day of the summer.

Grateful for the inspiration I get here from you all especially from EQ this morning: Grateful I am an example of sobriety and no longer an example of hopelessness.
Grateful to monitor my thoughts like a garden and pluck out those weeds when they sprout and not scatter the seeds.

Grateful to have EQ in my life. EQ you came ahead of me to SR and recovery so you have always been an example of sobriety to me.

Grateful for a fun weekend planned.

Grateful for all of my gratitude buddies.

Grateful that my OH brought me a cup of tea in bed this morning, I can't remember the last time he was up before me, what a treat.

Grateful for the weekend, and another week of sobriety.

Grateful for an AA meeting this morning, farmers market at 9, and movies this afternoon.

Watering newly planted grass seed, and glad for those who have labor day on Monday.

Grateful that retirement gives me labor day every day.

Grateful that we touch and help people when we don't even know that we are doing it.

Grateful that my dog seems much better this morning, hardly red and not itchy, and that I am not worried about going away overnight. Grateful the lady who will come to walk him knows what to look for and loves him.

Grateful my brother and family invited me overnight to their campground on the beach in OC MD. (Hi Grtgpa!) It is amazing how much better I feel that I have somewhere to be on a day off.

Grateful for good weather!

Those on the Labor Day Holiday, please drive carefully. Stay safe.
