Grateful for the hilarious expressions my dog's face makes when I get ready to throw his ball. He looks practically out of his mind with excitement and it is SO funny.

Grateful for jazz on the radio lazily playing, and my ability to hear it.
Grateful for a late supper at home alone after work and my ability to smell and taste it.

Grateful I have off tomorrow and for the long productive day I was able to put in today.

Grateful for all of you. You help my sobriety more than you could ever know.

Grateful I can give words of wisdom and encouragement to a friend who used to be MY sponsor. Mysterious ways again.

And grateful for Tavist antihistamine. It's kind of forgotten, but I felt lucky to find some, and it has completely stopped the insane itching of my yellow jacket sting! I thought I was going to have to pull pinky off.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for a good swim at my gym and the relaxed feeling that goes with it. The pain in my feet isn't felt when I swim. What a great feeling.

Grateful for AA and all that I have learned, especially about turning over what I can't control. Grateful for my Higher Power who is always there and hears me.

Grateful that a family friend is surrounded by loving family and friends after losing his Daughter to Alcohol and Drugs. We have know him for many years and my heart goes out to him.

Grateful for an evening with no alcohol and a meal made with fresh yellow squash and zuchinni from the garden (I don't believe any one runs out of zuchinni this time of year).

Grateful for the cool evenings we are having - great sleeping weather.

Yellowjacket sting on the pinky? Ow s**t ouch! Glad you found some relief.

Grateful I tried something new to help my health. Modern medicine amazes me sometimes.

Eddie~Ouch! On the yellow jacket sting! I get a highly large local reaction to those suckers! Skeered of them!

Grateful for the beautiful cloudless morning here, filled w/lots of birds chirping, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, & a family of quail passing through!

Grateful that SR is a moment away from my connection to my Higher Power. The written words on SR also help me to respond and not react to a conversation with a loved one.

Grateful to realize, at my advanced age, that I still need to put many more tools in my toolbox...most of them being self care. Kindness to self and not criticism.

Grateful for my laptop, my TV, cellphone.....in the "olden days" we had the TV but it was black and white. Not much was on until the Mickey Mouse Club. If you missed a call you didn't know it!! I suppose our kids will have their "olden days" too and who knows what that will look like. Ippy

Grateful to have had time to catch up with my work, the end of the month is always dodgy.

Grateful for long grasses, they are entertaining our little foster cat and giving him (and me) plenty of exercise

Grateful for my yoga class this evening, I feel well stretched and ready to sleep.

Goodnight friends, sleep well.

Thanks, Astro and HR! I got into a yellow jacket nest when I was about 3 and I suffer terribly when I get stung, pain, swelling, and unreal itching. But at least I can still breathe, right?

Grateful that when my husband is weak, I am strong. And when I am weak he's strong. Tonight, he needed strength, and since I spent my evening sober, I was the strength.

Grateful for the month of July - it was one of awakening, one that brought me more tools to add to my sobriety toolbox, and one that could be the beginning of my husband and I restoring our relationship to a better level.

Grateful to put one foot in front of the other today and keep going even when I didn't feel like it.

Grateful I thought of a quote today that helped me self motivate. Someone on SR has it as a signature and it goes something like this: The secret to success is doing what needs to be done even on the days you don't feel like it. I have always been bad at that.

Grateful I had an hour of meditation today. I needed it. I had quite the monkey mind.

Grateful for a really lovely day on my own...and the ability to do things I can't do when I'm hysterical from drying out.

Grateful to have turned down a karaoke outing, and for having dinner in a really nice restaurant without being desperate for a drink.

I'm grateful that I can come here and say hi to y'all, and we can share this journey.

Thank you SR
