Welcome back, Missy
Grateful for an afternoon by the sea
Grateful to have been able to cheer up my partner when he was feeling down
Grateful to have a physio appointment tomorrow for my poorly arm

Grateful that I have a purring cat beside me, despite a little disagreement earlier.
Unfortunately Ode (the cat) decided not to use his litter tray for some reason, but I'm grateful that he chose to use the vegetable box rather than the carpet instead.
Grateful that the vegetable box and potatoes are now on the compost heap.
Grateful for any advice which might be offered from any SR cat owners

Missy, it is great to see you here!
Grateful for a long but productive day at work. Grateful at certain times when I felt the inward temptation to exagerate my distress I caught it very quickly, regrouped, detached some and let go of controlling the outcome.
Grateful my dog held it together as I was gone a really long time. Grateful he and I are such good buddies.
Grateful before I went to work early this morning I made my bed and ran the dishwasher. It all looked so nice when I got home. Back when I drank I didn't do dishes till all the dishes had been used, never made my bed, or even slept in the bed a lot of nights. So grateful those days are gone and I can respect myself again.

Grateful that the headache I had yesterday and last night was gone by this morning.
Grateful for the yoga class I went to this night, with a new (to me) teacher. Grateful I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things. So much of my addiction was being stuck in a rut, doing the same thing over and over... Grateful to be moving past that, one day at a time.
Grateful for green tea.
Grateful for organic veggies...I'm unemployed and don't have any income right now, but I volunteer at a garden, plus my boyfriend works for a local organic farm, so I have the veggie hookup! I'm not going hungry, and im so grateful for my little electric hot plate where I can prepare my nourishing meals. Filled with such appreciation for this- the time and space to cook simple meals with quality ingredients (good veggies and some beans!)
Grateful I'm going to bed sober tonight, with a meeting to look forward to tomorrow bright and early.
Also grateful for my little blue copy of 'alcoholics anonymous' I have with me as I relax on the couch and prepare for bed. Life is simple and good.
Thanks for reading! And thanks for every one who posts here- I'm grateful for your gratitude.

So happy to hear Elizabeth19 you are enjoying Sobriety and starting out simple. The Big Book was so intriguing to me when I started to read the stories. I hope you continue with your meetings and believe that your life will be very enriched. I find the meetings give my Alcoholic mind a restart each time! And the people are so caring!! God Bless, Ipanema
To FreeIn14,
Welcome to the world of cat lovers! I have never been successful in training a cat. They might listen but then do it their way. And I see a little smirk on their face as they continue on doing exactly as you asked them not to! My cat does well with the cat box but that's about all. Blessings, Ipanema

Grateful for all that I have. I believe I am exactly where I should be today, by the Grace of God. The Fellowship of AA has taught me everything I need to know to stay sober. And the people here on SR, with their combined Wisdom, give me an opportunity to Hear rather than Think. Ipanema
I'm grateful for the SR meeting tonight--since I chickened out of the real one.
I'm grateful that I felt well enough to finally take my sick cat to the vet today and that she just seems to have a bad flea allergy--a dose of antibiotics and some good flea stuff might just fix her. She gobbled up 3/4 of a cup of chicken breast, so I'm grateful she seems to feel better.
Oh, and very importantly, I'm grateful for having gotten through taco tuesday with iced tea!
Goodnight SR.

Grateful I'm about to wrap up work on another home. Looking forward to the paycheck.
Grateful for a really productive and enjoyable day, although I needed a bit of prompting from OH to do some more painting, I'm now glad I finished it
Grateful to be able to dig up some potatoes for tea, since our little stock ended up on the compost heap yesterday.
Grateful for the bible study meeting I'm going to this evening, It always energises me for the rest of the week.
