Salad bowls can be lethal...trust the dog. so can mindless TV...i've not watched PV....i'm a Voice fan and shhhhh (DWTS) grateful for a day off tomorrow too! in nice weather grateful for plans to clean polish the wood floor and put down the new rug under the coffee table, remove the hair and tidy up...(also go to the gym and get a pedicure, cos i got some really HOT open toe 4" peep-toes)....and now that i'm sober i have fantastic balance and won't fall down. grateful for patience with baby cat....he is a handful..chewed up a ketchup packet in the bed, steals everything and hides it. very spoiled lapcat i'm grateful that i decided to stop drinking and stay sober. it has changed my health (both physical and mental) dramatically. i'm grateful i no longer have those month-long horrible depressive episodes, i can cope with life like other people. i'm grateful that my family likes me and i'm not someone they "have to put up with" i'm smiling a lot more these days, even though circumstances can be craptastic at work and the economy is in the toilet.

This Saturday morning I am grateful for: 1. Birds chirping outside - it really feels like spring is on its way! 2. Somehow managing to find some patience and stamina yesterday when the day seemed to have NO END 3. My sweet dog who was an angel with people who needed some TLC 4. Being in a position to help 5. Finding the humor when humor is hard to come by 6. My old friends who have stuck by me no matter what 7. Getting better and better (though slow going, baby steps) at knowing where my limits are and what I am and am not responsible for 8. Resisting spending money just because I want something 9. The GP - you guys keep me going every day, even though I don't post every day 10. God's love and care - what a mess I'd be without Him! Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and rest of the weekend |

Evening all! Grateful tonight for: 1. Not losing my cool today when there was a weird interaction. Not taking responsibility for it when it wasn't about me at all. 2. Peanut M&Ms. Excellent for when I'm trying to figure out if something is my responsibility or not ![]() 3. The moon still up in the blue sky at 8am, beautiful. 4. A stupendous spring day, all the fruit trees in bloom. 5. My dog who spread a lot of love and cuteness around today to people who needed it. 6. My mom, still young at heart and full of life at 86. 7. Setting aside some resentments ... very reluctantly, I must say, but I am setting them aside. Mostly. ![]() 8. Feeling some peace tonight, even though everything isn't resolved. Is there ever a time when everything is resolved? 9. Steamed chicken, shrimp and vegetables with brown sauce for dinner. Yum! 10. God's guidance and care for us all. My friends in sobriety, helping me along the way. Love! Have a good night, GP |

Grateful that as I sit here watching my son take more stuff out of his room that its a little sad but that I'm so happy for them both. He'll sleep here 3 more nights and then he'll start a new chapter when he says I do. I did good on that one, but he always was an unusual young man. Grateful to have finally found not 1 but 2 dresses(I'm not the dress type) Grateful that I love my soon to be daughter in law . Grateful for all the help my oldest daughter is. Grateful to be sober for this. Grateful there will be no booze at this event.

I am so grateful for your loving kindness I prayed and you answered. All I had to do was trust you when I heard that still small voice. You gave me the words to say. I am so grateful that I matter enough for you to help me . Thank you for the gift of peace and faith.

Happy for you, kari ![]() And really hope you are feeling better, Fands ![]() This Friday afternoon I am grateful for: 1. The weekend!!!!! Whoo-hoo!!!! I have no plans, no responsibilities - heaven! 2. March Madness! 3. Feeling very solid in my sobriety and moving forward in the anxiety department. 4. Iced tea - always make me feel like it's summer. 5. Greeting the other dogs on our walk around the lake. My girl likes most of them, but there is this one dog that she can't stand, gets all ferocious! I have no idea why, the dog is one-quarter her size and totally ignores her. 6. Appreciating the moment. 7. The GP! Very grateful to you guys for showing up and supporting and inspiring me 8. Low-fat fudgesicles, my constant companions. 9. Live jazz and also Pandora radio jazz channels. 10. God's guidance and love - without these I would feel lost! Have a great weekend, folks! |
