Grateful to my daughter(it's a miracle)

I am going to visit my daughter and granddaughters this weekend and am so grateful that the program of AA allowed me this. A few 24 hrs back I didn't even have them in my life due to the the disease of alcoholism. I made all the broken promises as all we alcoholics do. Only after working the steps and doing what the program of AA suggests, did I get the chance to be the mother that I could not be. It was not easy. I had to earn the trust again. It did not come freely. She tells me she is proud of me and I tell her please don't be proud that gives me room for failure. I tell her to be grateful that and I can live up to that today. The higher my expectations the lower my serenity.
So I really do get a second chance to make memories and see the promises come true.. Keep coming back it works if you work it... I am a miracle and so are you. So don't give up 5 minutes before the miracle..
