I am grateful for my addiction

People often laugh at me, or look at me like I need a "vacation" when I tell them I am grateful God blessed me with my addiction. But I truly am. Had He not, I wouldn't be able to reach out to the still struggling alcoholic/addict, and I CERTAINLY wouldn't be able to do what I do. If not for the recovered among us, how would the still struggling find the help they need?

I too am grateful for what and who I am.

Hi im Sharon and Im an alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely grateful.

Im happy to have a program of steps
and principles to guide me each day
teaching me how to live life happy
joyous and free from the addiction
of alcohol.

When it takes others to pay for a
suggestions or advice i am grateful
to have my own personal fellowship
of others just like I to help me thru
just about everything or anything
I have problems with in life. No cost
or charge for free guidance and feed
back.

Gotta love recovery. And I certainly do.

Even tho I may not exactly be grateful for my addiction, I am however ever so grateful that there is addiction treatment. I am especially grateful for enough variety in addiction treatment that a secular person like myself can recover and flourish in wondrous life.

Lightbulb sponsorship

I am deeply grateful for my sponsor who is taking me by the hand and leading me through the steps so that I may flourish in sobriety. I pray for the willingness to be willing!!! One moment at a time if necessary..
