| My coworker
I'm grateful for my coworker, who I decided to tell yesterday that I've gone sober. He's very quiet about his own sobriety in general, so I figured he'd be a good person to talk to, and he was wonderful. Wonderful. Sent me the nicest message, telling me how excited he is for me and encouraging me to call him whenever I need to. Even gave me the phone number of where he'll be next week on an international business trip. Most importantly, he related some of his own trip through sobriety, and made me feel very good about my decision to quit. I felt like I was carrying around a big secret, and now I am really thankful I opened up to him. He is a good person. |
