"Surrender is to relinquish inner resistance to what is...In the state of surrender, you see very clearly what needs to be done, and you take action, doing one thing at a time and focusing on one thing at a time." E. Tolle Dealing with a tough issue this week. I am getting through it. Grateful for the 12 steps, spiritual reading, and others who are there for me. And I'm grateful it's Friday .

I have strength to share due to others sharing their strength and hope with me! What goes around, comes around! Love you all!! PS; I too feel good inside when someone else shares their success and joy!

Grateful to God for giving me another chance to stay sober today. And thanks to God for getting thru this day and even finding things to be happy about. Grateful I consider myself 'part of the big picture' . Grateful that my sobriety is my number one priority. Grateful I am able to talk myself out of it any time my alcoholic self rears it's ugly demanding head. Grateful just to be sober today! :ghug

Grateful for: Prayer. The Big Book, AA meetings, and other alcoholics (chaired another meeting ).Drawing, colouring, and playing with my kids. Going to the fitness centre. A new hockey season (too many games on TV to choose from ).It's how I dealt with stress yesterday. Back to basics - "one day at a time". I still shudder at the memories of those Friday to Monday benders, my old way of "dealing" with life's challenges, the insanity. Sobriety is just so precious. |
