I Truly am Grateful

I am grateful for having found my long lost family (it happened right after I decided to go sober).

I am grateful for my two healthy sons.

I am grateful for my older son choosing a solid life path.

I am grateful for the last 45 days of clear thinking.

I am grateful for the absence of hangovers for the past 45 days.

I am grateful for my puppy, a baby boxer, who loves me unconditionally.

I am grateful for my 12 year old hound dog who is my "old faithful".

I am grateful that my husband of one year is supportive of my commitment to recovery.

I am grateful that I am prosperous.

I am grateful that I have a chance to move forward and start a different lifestyle that I may enjoy more than I ever enjoyed being a drunk.

I am grateful for a forum where I can anonymously post the things I need to get out and off my chest.

I am grateful that I am not alone in my search for recovery.
