Faith, I just finished reading The Talisman again, last time I read it was when it was published over 20 years ago. "It" is one of my favorites, and The Dead Zone, or maybe The Stand. Ohhhh, so many good Stephen King books. I'm grateful for good books, literature, and reading material!

Today is Canada Day. I live in a tourist town. There were several people from out of town at our AA meeting tonight. I met new people, was invited to meetings in a neighbouring city, and went out for cold drinks after the meeting. I had shared that I struggled a bit over the weekend and the support & encouragement even from people I had just met was overwhelming. AA continues to amaze me. Grateful for people just like me. Keep at it Faith, cheering you on!Rella, my brain falling out isn't always a bad thing

Ha ha L! You reminded me that sometimes I'm like the March Hare, always in a hurry to be somewhere! I'm grateful that I can "hurry with purpose", and actually accomplish things instead of running around drunk with my head on fire!

That's too cool, Lbad! For those who don't know, Ka-tet is the belief that a group of people can be tied together by fate, or ka. and Susannah Dean, who ends up understanding ka maybe more than Roland himself, comes to the understanding that in simple terms, "ka-tet" means family. I have read the series twice, the first time starting when I was 16 years old and as they came out. It is my favorite series of all time. Each release was like an event! Tonight, I agreed to help an AA newcomer with his step 4. I have never done this before but he seemed so frustrated and really needs help. I hesitated at first "I'm too new" but it is my responsibility to help others (and I have worked through the steps). Going to sit down with him over the weekend. Nervous as heck and I could use some prayers of strength. Grateful to be able to help others. It's why I'm sober.

Grateful for books.. I don't even own a TV..... Grateful my daughters love to read as well... Grateful this is my "Friday"... (cause of the holiday....) (((Astro))) Look at those beautiful children!~! 'Ka' which is the approximate equivalent of destiny, or fate, in the fictional language High Speech (and similarly, 'Ka-tet,' a group of people bound together by fate/destiny). (swiped from wikipedia)

Tonight I am grateful to be sober and strong. I am grateful that there are people out there 'like' me. I am grateful for Amazon...just ordered me some new reads I am grateful for the green leaves, the strawberries I picked out of my garden, and the way my pool smells. I am grateful for having put in a good day at the store, accomplished alot. I am grateful that I now look so forward to thinking about what I have been grateful for throughout my day instead of just forgetting it. I am grateful for sweet breaths of fresh air. Sweet dream and have a good night
