Fell asleep early eve from sheer fatigue, but really grateful that when I just now woke up, my headache was gone. Grateful that my daughter is graduating high school this Sunday and will have a relaxing summer after all these years of schoolwork!

((kev)) I tried running one morning when it was 30mph winds and I couldn't bike (to windy)... I was so sore. Running is harder then biking I think.. Way to go mate!!! ((cc)) Congratulations... You are an inspiration. I want to go back to school... I think I might wait until the girls are a bit older though. They still want me around a lot.. I am grateful for that. They are 12 and 14 so they probably won't want me to much longer... lol ((rz)) hee hee slap stick humor at it's best much luv to you...

Grateful for the 11th Step Prayer... 11th Step Prayer Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace! That where there is hatred, I may bring love. That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness. That where there is discord, I may bring harmony. That where there is error, I may bring truth. That where there is doubt, I may bring faith. That where there is despair, I may bring hope. That where there are shadows, I may bring light. That where there is sadness, I may bring joy. Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted. To understand, than to be understood. To love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. I try to pick a line a day to focus on. It is good.....

Grateful for my family Grateful for my parents Grateful for my handicaped brother, who has taught me more in this dark world (at times dark), than anyone could teach another human being. He's my light, my heart & a gift from God to all of us (my siblings, parents & so on). Grateful for my daughter, my heart, my pride, my joy in life. Grateful for finally seeing that I don't put myself first all too often.

Grateful that daughter's grad party went very well... and that it's over! Grateful that I was able to fully enjoy it and not have to "call in sick". Grateful for the love of my faithful dogs - always grateful for them and for the lessons they teach me every day. Grateful that so many family members and friends love my daughter like I do. Grateful to have so many friends; here, in AA, and elsewhere, to help me enjoy and maintain my recovery! ![]() ![]()

Nice. the eleventh step prayer's a good one Lbad, I can never remember all of it so I say the abridged version. I found this last night in my travels round cyberspace. The 23rd psalm for alkie/addicts. The Lord is my sponsor, I shall not want. He makes me to go to many meetings. He leads me to sit back, relax, and listen with an open mind, He restores my soul, my sanity, and my health. He leads me in the path of sobriety, serenity, and fellowship for my own sake. He teaches me to think, to take it easy, to live and let live, and do first things first. He makes me more humble and grateful. He teaches me to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and gives me the wisdom to know the difference. Yea, though I walk through the valley of despair, frustration, guilt, and remorse, I will fear no evil. For Thou are with me, your program, your way of life, your twelve steps, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: rationalization, fear, anxiety, self-pity, and resentment. You anoint my confused mind and jangled nerves with knowledge, understanding, and hope. No longer am I alone, neither am I afraid, nor sickened, nor helpless, nor hopeless. My cup runs over, Surely sobriety and serenity shall follow me every day of my life, one day at a time, twenty-four hours at a time. As I surrender my will to You and carry Your message to others, I will dwell in the house of Higher Power, as I understand him, one day at a time, forever and ever. Amen Author Unknown ![]()
