| Aussies and Mardi Gra
Soooo Any Aussie's or international guests attempt MG this year? I didnt, worked and crook so no festivities... It made me think back to previous parades and all the parties and if I wasnt drinking, well I always was, I was drugging...nothing but addiction fueled nights and days.... Anyone remember the same???

| | Not me, LOL. I'm not an Aussie and I've never been to a Mardi Gras... I've seen certain Mardi Gras events on TV, and I'm guessing that I'd probably be extremely scared, lol - huge crowds of rowdy drunk people do that to me. The floats do look amazing, though. Update: okay, I've just read up on the Sydney MG - it's now officially on my "to experience" list, hopefully when I visit Australia (that's a dream of mine ) Sober, of course.

Matt its an experience that MUST be had! You can spectate from designated places like Bobby Goldsmith stands so you dont get crushed (still has the alcohol element though) or be a marshall so you are in front of the crowd crushing and get a front row to see the paraade, or be in it and participate...i have done all 3 and all of them i was NEVER sober for but had a blast....it will be interesting next time i do it sober, big change! Its a shame we cant do an AA one lol takes away from the anonomous then doesnt it lol
