Well Today is 2 Years clean and sober, One day at a time. I just wanted to say thanks to all the sr community for helping with all the positive and insightful words of hope. I realize there are alot of brothers and sisters with troubles that may seem hopeless, But hang in there use whatever recovery process your using that works. Share your good times and bad times, As buy doing so you are helping others more then you can know. Realizing we aren't alone is a wonderful thing. Be good to yourself s, as we have spent way to much time doing the opposite. Again thanks all, keep commin back. cloud8.5....lol |

Been a good day, Found out there is a possibility that i will become the next manager of my crew, depends on a few things but truly gave me something to think about, Yet while I was thinking of all the gifts that could come my way again..Someone at work told me they had just drank a beer after 3 years of being sober, What should i do she asked. So i had the oppertunity to share my expereince with that very same issue from years ago when i gave up 5 years of sobriety over one sniff of poppers, saying to myself if im gonna change my date im gonna at least tie one good one on first, only to discover it took me 22 years of continued using and drinking to get back to 2 years today. All i could say was get to a metting be honest call me and stay close to your friends that r sober. Its one day at a time, I hope she dosent have to spend another 20 years or so to figuare that out, Whatever she does The best part of my day was being sober so I could be there for another person to share my experience strength and hope. Selfish it may be. But it kept me sober and made me more grateful. Keep comming back..love ya all cloud8.5 |
