Praying and need more prayers
Family, JJ reached out again saying detox had a wait list. He wanted to come home to detox which I said no to. I explained in my message that we are not equipped for handling a detox and he needs to be with people who are. I told him I would call the rehab and see if previous detox meds that JJ didn't finish would be okay. The man who runs the rehab is very awesome. He said that he would allow JJ to detox there! So NOW I am stressing because I have no way to reach JJ. I sent my facebook message at 9:30 AM but he hasn't logged back in. Please send up some prayers that soon JJ will read this message and take the action.
I can get him in today if he calls me. That's my hope because tomorrow is my birthday and what a great gift to be able to know that he is at last back where he can get help if he chooses it.

It's in his hands, but he's the one who needs to make the effort to find a way...if he is ready. When he is ready, all the pieces will fall into place. Until then, you've done your best now time to let it go.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, regardless of how JJ spends his day, I hope you do something wonderful for yourself and toss your worry to the wind.

After I read your post, I thought to myself, JJ needs to do this for himself! I read down and found Ann's post and saw that she said the same thing. So, bottom line here is when JJ is ready he will go without any prodding from you or anyone else.
You are right about not letting him come home to detox, as you are not equipped, not a professional, and are way too close to the situation.
My son did the same thing. Said there were no openings at the moment and could he stay here until there was. I had to say no. Guess what? He found a place where there was an immediate opening, stayed there 6 months. That was about 6 years ago or more, and has been cleaned ever since.
You did the right thing, except remember he has to do the footwork!
Hugs and prayers heading your way. It will happen!

Lovemysonjj,
"He is IN!"
Just a little bit late for your birthday, but you could not ask for a more wonder-full Christmas present!
He is on his way, now just need to stay strong, it works if you work it for both of you.
Keep coming back,
Jim
