I am heading out tomorrow for surgery Tuesday morning. I have full confidence in my doctor and the wonderful hospital that is doing all this.

I will be glad to have this part behind me, another hurdle in life jumped and cleared.

Book your seats early because I am taking you all with me and it could get crowded.

Would have been here sooner, but I was ordering snacks for the bus trip and comfy cushions for everyone.

I am relaxed and relieved to be this far, and will be even happier when the surgery is over. It's a brief surgery and very safe and I know it will go well.

So I am taking your prayers with me and will see you all in the OR.

I'm getting on the bus early, I'll sit next to the duck, keep him in line, as he comforts us..
might even have to order TWO buses for this LAST road trip to the hospital...where's our driver? She better be ready for this...Anvilhead....
Please rest peacefully tonite Ann, we are here for you and will await the good news, any news you give us on Tuesday. Prayers and many, many good thoughts to our Ann coming your way from all over this great big planet!

Loving the tunes...disco duck? yeah!!! duck--gotta get out of that duct tape to dance...on our way to canada to be with our Ann...Anvil driving? Good...we'll definitely be taking the most direct route...and it's a wild ride!!!

Okay, so it was hard explaining who all those people and a duck were as I was being wheeled into surgery...I'm sure they thought I was hallucinating but I know that I could feel you all there....and sure, eat snacks while I am starving because they allowed me nothing until "after" when you really don't feel like anything anymore.

But it's done, I am sore and tired and glad to be over the biggest hurdle. Follow up and radiation to follow...no chemo...yay!

I can't tell you how much it meant to have you all cheering me on. There were days when that's exactly what I needed. And now it's healing time...the worst is behind and the best is yet to come.

Love you all...but you already know that. So thank you and hugs for each one of you for being such dears.

Cookies for everyone....help yourself.
