STD testing

Honey, just bite the bullet and GO. The local health dept here has an STD clinic that you can just walk in on the day they have it and get tested.
I personally got STD tested when I kicked my X out of our house about a year and a half ago. I went to my gyna Dr. and said my X is a dirty cheat and I need tested for everything. They were great about it.
As far as your mom, just tell her you have a dr appt. I am sure she does not require all the details, if so, it's a checkup.
