Maybe turning off the utilities in that part of the house. Or removing some of the furniture when she's not there. Or throwing her clothes in the trash when she's not there.

And Underwood would be stonefaced while doing all of this, displaying no emotion at all.

Does this sound incredibly amoral? Perhaps. But when confronted with someone who is inherently unreasonable and disdainful of boundaries, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Of course, I'm (partly) joking...
Any ideas on things that fall into the category of Zoso's recommendation? Sometimes being mischievous brings at least a smile if not a solution. But who knows? Remember this is an 18 year old who has no attachments to anyone or anything, lives I. filth. Yes I have talked with, to her. Given consequences, taken to therapy, stood beside, protected and after taking her in 6 years ago, have spent the last 5 months detaching from emotionally. She will not leave and I just found out that in my state, I have to file an unlawful detainer hope that a judge will agree she should and can be evicted. And it goes on and on what I have to do to take back my own home and sanity. But hey, maybe someone will have an idea that I can use to make her want to leave...sounds good to me.
I have the new for locks ready to install!!

Firefall,

Is she still in school? I can't remember if you have given that info. I personally know a man who pulled the cable and cut power to the TV/VCR daily after his 17 year old daughter decided to quit school.

Firefall,
You have every right under common human decency to
get this person out of your life. If unlawful detainer is called
for, please do not delay starting the clock.
When it came time to say "no more" to the addict I
cared about-----she squawked loudly and clearly via
text to everyone in her sad little sphere.

For some technical reason----all of it CC'ed
to me. After a few hours of this banality, I texted something
to the effect of "you need to develop some modicum
of competence if you aspire to use a modern
communications device effectively----If you
feel the need to tell your 'friends' how awful I
am for shutting off the
$ spigot......

THEN KINDLY ADDRESS IT TO THEM!!!!!!"

Your good nature is being taken advantage
of, pure and simple.

Squatters squat.

Yep, she has minimal classes, has been missing one day a week. Starting Monday she is able to sign herself in or out.

I am actually cutting off cable. Trying to be more creative. Having trouble staying focused with everything, but I think Zoso77 gave some good direction..Underwood..yea...
Vale I so get your social media comment.

So many young people have no restraint, no control over themselves. They keep waiting for the next best thing.... but it will never get better because wherever they go they are still there.

Yes, I saw that clearly the first time I hung near the duck and his flock.

I think it might be because he is a swan and not a duck!!! Or he is just a shape shifting spirit of reason.

No cable, no junk food and doing ones own laundry would definitely put a crimp in any teenagers plans!

Actually not all sweet! To protect their territory, they drown other males who are trying to take over their space or flock....grizzled...but I know you got the metaphor sweet little duck.... I would groom your feathers, but if you smell to good, I have you for breakfast, because, I am after all a wolf in the fire.

Today, I am starting my book. Been planning to for a long time.
Putting my notes in some meaningful order, gathering images.
No worries it is not about AA.
It is a how to live with RA and CKD with Gout for the beginner.
Don't have a title yet, but no resources for those with high uric acid
If you eat you get sicker, if you don't eat you get sicker. If you don't take meds you get sicker, if you do, you die soon error! Sigh!

My dream is to get back to Port Hueneme where I was born. The book can help me do that.
So today because of my family here I have the motivation to start. For the moment I am dead to the cacophony around me....today is for me, because I am loved by a few.

GULP!!!!!!!!

(Vale's epitaph)

When questioned, the wolf had no comment.

(Had the wolf commented, the feathers falling from her
mouth would have given the whole thing away!)

Port Hueneme.......you must have been a SeaBee brat.
