I just want to share some positive at the moment...my husband is still in rehab (its been 38 days) and the crazy phone calls have stopped, he actually sounds like the man I fell in love with. Counseling session seemed to be helping. I have not had one call asking to control anything, accusing me of anything...nothing! I am so thankful! He did call and ask if I could bring him some soap and deodorant. He said if I couldn't afford it this week he would make due. Let me tell you...this is HUGE GROWTH...he demands and expects everything. I have been really praying for guidance and for his recovery as well as my own. We have gone the entire week without one cross word to one another. There have been several stressful situation that would have normally sent either of us into "the cycle" and we didn't let it. That is BIG for both of us! We still have a long journey but I am grateful today for the progress that we have made. I am so thankful for the support here as well...I am taking care of me...the rest is up to God!

So glad he seems to be joining the sane. It's good to know that sobriety is bringing out the best in him. I hope it continues.

Thank you for sharing Tinky, I love good news.

From what I learned when my husband was in rehab, its tough for them especially at first . If he is sounding more like his old self, then its a good sign of turning a corner.

Thank you everyone...I am going to spend some ME time this weekend...I am going yard sale shopping with a friend and going to get a pedicure. He even encouraged it...which is SO NOT LIKE HIM! LOL I'm just taking it a day at a time.
