happy birthday to me ,i spent alone..he went out..came home and started to blame me..told him not to blame me .he did it not me...why can they once own up to want they do

anyways. Sorry you had a sad bday - but today is a new day. This year of your life can be what YOU want it to be. Get out and do something for yourself! Even something simple - a massage, pedicure, walk, window shop, lunch with friends......

One of my birthdays was missed, he called and asked if i minded if he went out for a while w/friends.......

I very nicely said,"no, that's fine, have a drink for me".

He said......."what? What do you mean?"

I said, "I mean, have a nice night... "

He came home at 2 a.m.... with all of the lights out in the house, except for the beautiful chandelier over the dining room table, nicely illumnating my gifts, roses, cake etc. that I had w/ my kids and family.

I heard, "oh s***" as he ran up the stairs, started w/ the I'm sorry's ........... and then went on to BLAME ME for not reminding him.

Ya, right.

I rolled over.

This is life w/ an addict. Get used to it.

BUT.......... happy birthday from a girl who understands your hurt.

Belated Happy Birthday, Lesa. I'm sorry he's such a jerk, and you deserve way better.

happy belated birthday lesa. sorry you had to spend your bday without him and i'm glad you didn't have to be alone, his loss, huh!

i agree with the others, next time come here and let us help you celebrated. try not to feel like the lone ranger, i've spent most my last 23 birthdays, kids bdays, aniversaries, the birth of our kids and most holidays without my ah, due to his drug use. i think his idea of a celebration was to get high. you are not alone, you and your family are in my prayers.
