Inspirational Quotes/Poems/Sayings

As an English major, I get to read a lot of awesome poetry and stories. Maybe some of you can share some of your favorite inspirational quotes and sayings with the rest of us?

I came across this poem by Tennyson and I just had to share. It's so amazing and powerful and it really struck home. Maybe some of you can get something out of it as well. Here are the last few lines (the poem is called "Ulysses.")

We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

There is also another saying I have heard somewhere and I enjoy it:

To conquer others is to know power.
To conquer yourself is to know the way.
