Hey all. So, I've been thinking this week. I work part-time, tax season is over, it's my busiest time and I think it's time to get out there and do a little something for someone else! So many have been so helpful to me during all this, and I'm ready to give back, and grow! Somewhere in a thread around here someone provided a link to volunteering. Think it was maybe a little quiz to fill out and give you ideas about where you might like to be or do. But, can't find it. Tried the search thing, but way too many to go through. Any suggestions? or do you know the thread or link?

I don't remember, but am sure someone will be along soon with some good ideas. I think it's great that you want to volunteer....not only does it help others, but it gets US out of our heads (which, in my case, is not always a good place to be). Hugs and prayers! Amy

Good for you! I don't know if Alanon or Naranon have something similar, but NA has something called 'hospitals and institutions' where they set people up to go speak at hospitals and jails and stuff like that. I'm not thinking this is what you should do, but maybe Alanon/Naranon has info about women's shelters or something like that. |

I don't recall the thread, but I found googling volunteer work and my area yielded lots of good info that helped me to figure out some interests. I think it's wonderful that you want to give back...Thanks for caring!

volunteer work is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself, no matter what kind of work it is. I am a docent at the phila zoo and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
