new to this forum Hello. I'm new to this and was in need of information on Naranon meetings in the West Palm Beach FL area. My husband is 2 1/2 weeks into rehab. We have an 8 month old little girl. He seems to be really excited about what he's experiencing in there. It was his decision to go. I really hope this works. We were lucky this time to not loose the house b/c of so much financial help from his family but I'm not sure that would be the case if he relapsed. Anyway, it's been nice reading some of your experiences...to know I'm not alone.

Welcome!! You're actually in my neck of the woods and I still have family in Lake Worth. I suggest you do a web search of Nar-Anon or Al-Anon meetings in the Palm Beach County area. I know of this one, but it gives a phone number so you may want to give them a call to see if there are any meetings closer. I'll bet there are more out there with it being such a big county. PALM BEACH COUNTY NAR-ANON FAMILY GROUP WEDNESDAY BOCA *****- EASY DOES IT 7:30 P.M. BOCA ***** MIDDLE SCHOOL 1251 NW 8 ST TEACHER'S LUNCHROOM FIRST FLOOR (EAST OF 95 BETWEEN PALMETTO PARK ROAD AND GLADES ROAD) HELPLINE (561)998-8474 or (561)-495-9359 Good luck and please keep coming back here. You'll find a lot of support from some really great folks. Hugs Kris

Welcome to the group. I started into Alanon before I had my 1st child. She went to her first Alanon meeting when she was about 2 weeks old. With an 8 month old, it looks like you'll have a "program" baby. Sometimes the rehab can suggests meetings in your area. Do you have a family program?? I find that very important. Lynne

Welcome to SR..... The best thing for you to do these days is to go to Alanon. If you can find Naranon go for it. Go to a few different meetings, not all will be the same. Although the message is the same......... That's the best thing that you can do for you and for your family. Drug addiction is cunning, baffling and powerful. It's not your fault.

Welcome! My husband is the addict in my life too and he is almost two weeks into rehab. It sounds like your husband is on the right track if he is getting help, that is great! This is a great place to come for support, great advice and good reading. Keep coming back, I am sure you will find it beneficial! Again, welcome! Hugs and Prayers, Tiffany Tiffany

Welcome to SR. I agree with BigSis. That first meeting was one of the hardest thing I've done. It will get better, I promise. You'll meet people who will welcome you with open arms. Let us know how you made out.
