Just wanted to update everyone on my situation. My A is still attending AA meetings (for a 4 or 5 weeks now)and me my Al-Anon. He has noticed a change, and that I am doing more things for me and my attention is not solely on him( I am loving this, even though he feels abit neglected, I am first)We have been doing alot of yard work and I said to him last weekend, Baby I am sorry that I have you out here doing this every weekend. he told me, well its better than drinking. Mind you I was floored! I know in my heart that we are on the right road, and that the AA meetings and Al-Anon has a great deal to do with it, Oh I will not forget to thank all of you for your shoulders and prayers. I am learning how to detach with love and accept him for what he is. I love this man, and will do what i can to make myself better. My adittude has changed a great deal, and for that I can say I found peace within. Thanks for the prayers and support!!! |

That is great, needuwell. Glad you decided to keep up your meetings and that you're now noticing them helping you. Considering your past relationship, this has got to be a nice change. I wish you both continued success with your programs. Keep coming back! |

I'm very happy for you as well. I agree that gardening beats a drunkfest any day of the week! I'm glad you're both working your programs and finding peace and acceptance within yourselves and with each other. I wish you many happy days to come
