Hearthealth....the thing that I notice...over and over....is, that every time a woman puts a man (even the father) before the children....the children end up resenting her more than him, in the end.....
You can check that out...it is written over and over by the Adult Children of Alcoholics when they recount their childhood.....
Often, even, the mother gives the excuse for staying as "I did it for the children"....

Dandylion speaks true, Heart.. Our childhood lives inform our adult lives.
You are sounding kinda beat. Any chance you and the kids can warm up some milk or make some cocoa, then get yourself a good night's sleep?
I alway feel more hopeful and strong when I have gotten a proper rest.

Maudcat, any relation to Lexiecat? How did you know? I was up all night with sick child and weekends are stressful. He's off work and usually wants some. Haven't given him any but I don't want to deal with it either.

I have a crazy amount of respect for Lexiecat.
She is wicked smaht, as we say around here.
But no, we are not related.
Good luck. Here when you need us.

ariesagain....What!? Not cocoa?....then....she must be talking about the Horizonal Tango!...?
HeartHealth...is this true? If it is.....what in the world are you thinking?

that is the worst thing you can do if you are trying to get a man out of your house. This is why I say that....
I remember from my Human Sexuality course, that men view sex as an indicator of acceptance and a sign that "everything is o.k." in the relationship.
(whereas, women feel that way about attention and affection).
Moreover, sex causes the release of bonding hormones into the bloodstream, similar to Pitocin...the "bonding hormone"....that is a powerful hormone...it even helps mothers to bond with the newborn!
No wonder you have so much trouble extracting yourself from him......if the Horizonal Tango is going on.
No more horizontal tango for him. No more cocoa for him either...he will probably think it is made of mother's milk.
You might as well put out a bushel of carrots........

Dandylion, I can reassure you none of that has or is going on with me. He will want some cocoa for mother's day. He will feel it's a treat for me but he will not get any. It's still stressful.

You know the song "You Sexy Thing"?

Who performed it? The band "Hot Chocolate."

I just checked in to this thread and have had to set my coffee aside lest I spill it while laughing! You guys are totally out of control!

Aries, I have to admit, I had questions about what sort of "some" we were talking about also...
