Do you have to be 13 to go to Alateen meetings?

Check the meeting directory, they usually have a phone number you can call to ask if they can take younger than 13. Some of the big cities have a separate program for kids 12 and under.

Our area doesn't have a lower age limit for Alateens, and we're not a huge metro area (not many of those in Iowa).
OT, I've gotten to see some Alateen speakers during my time in Al Anon service, and they always make me tear up, and I'm not a crier normally. Fantastic program for young people. Wish an adult in my life would have had the awareness to take me to a meeting.
