O/T..My Grandma Passed Away
Hopeful, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It is wonderful though, that your time together with her, near her passing, was so loving and just beautiful. I would love to go that way, with my family around, my granddaughter there to share a memory with me..and to be able to squeeze her hand, to let her know how much she, and those memories, meant to me.
thinking of you, and keeping prayers going up.

My heart is with you.
I have to share my own personal experience. My MIL became acutely and gravely ill when we were all on vacation together--my AH, MIL, DBIL, and my four kids. We always went on vacation--all of us together. They told us she was going to die. So, it was fortunate in a way that the family was all together anyway.
She was unconscious and unresponsive when my kids came to the hospital to see her. My DD said "It's too dark in here," and she raised the blinds. My MIL woke up, and went on a comedy rant for 20 minutes. She addressed each grandchild with a kind word or joke that was specific to them. She even complimented me on my hair, which she always used to criticize. When we said good night to her, she had left us all laughing, and actually gave the kids some hope. But she died that night. The nurses said that often people near the end will have a last burst, a last good bye. It was truly a gift.
I'm happy that your mom had that experience as well.
My sincere condolences.

I would like to thank you all so much for sharing your love and experiences with me. It was a nice service, she would approve. She was in the nursing home, we donated almost everything she had there to the other patients there. We had a beautiful slide show and many photos. It was a beautiful memorial to a beautiful person.
I cannot express how much I appreciate your support and friendship SR friends!
Much Love,

I am so sorry for your loss hopeful. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your mom is lucky is to have such a loving and supportive daughter to be there for her. It sounds like you come from a long line of beautiful and strong women.
What a kind thing to say. I can only hope when faced with tragedy that I handle it as gracefully as my mom did. She's a wonderful role model in every way.
It's been a rough week. My grandma was 89 years old, so I know it is understandable, but she passed yesterday. She was very healthy and lived a full and happy life. I am super close to my mom, and my heart hurts for her most of all. I don't care the age, for your mom to pass has to be agony.
It was so crazy. The day before she was basically restless and nearly unconscious the entire day. Hospice was called, they thought it would be very soon, within hours. Yesterday my mom walked in, she opened her eyes and asked if it was time to get up!! She talked to everyone, my mom brought in her cat who she loved dearly, it was wonderful that my family got to experience that. I had been there the day before and she was squeezing my hand and smiling when I told her something funny I remembered about us. So I did miss it yesterday, but know she knew I was there the night before with my girls.
So, I will be absent for a few days. If you lovelies can keep me and my family in your prayers it would be much appreciated.
