Question about eviction
Question about eviction
If you're living with someone and want them evicted and get them an eviction notice, but you live in a gated community so when the police try to deliver it while you're at work but can't get through the gate to give it to the person you want to evict, so they just give up.
What do you do about this?
What do you do about this?
I did not know gated communities could keep the police from delivering an order from the court. I mean, it is still part of the jurisdiction of the police?
Or, maybe because it was just a notice the person at the gate delivers it?
I don't know. It does not sound right to me.
But I am just guessing about it. All conjecture to me.

All I know about gated communities is that the cops down here have a way of getting in. My friend lived in a 'hood apt. complex that had an automatic gate, and I asked her how the cops/ambulance got in when there was a shooting.
Don't know that an eviction notice, however, would be cause enough for them to use it.

That seems ridiculous to me...what if there was a fire a murder etc how else would they get in the gate?
Thats ridiculous they are being lazy with it.
Theres a way. .gates can be tended to in some way or be opened by another resident.
They probably saw the gate and just turned right around because it wasnt lide or death

I have no insight into the particular problem, but it sounds like your father continues the pattern of refusing to take responsibility for his life himself and trying to drag you back into solving his problems for him.
I think your comment was perfect and you can use that to him: "you're not stupid, Dad. You'll figure it out."
