My fear with privacy is that the alkie/addict tends to hang with or knows other alkies/addicts that might be coming here themselves or perhaps a friend or spouse of theirs. So always think anonymity.

So why, when I go into user CP and change the settings under profile privacy and then save it, the next time I go into it it is back to « everyone »? What am I missing?

I just now tried the same thing with the same results you are getting. I will ask and try to find an answer for you!

What has helped me in the past is to visit SR without logging in. It shows you what a non-member can see and access.

Mine reverts to 'everyone' too. That was news to me

As a test I logged off and I can't access anyone's profile without being prompted to log in so that means the profiles are by default at least restricted to members.
