Can two alcoholics have a relationship that works?

AH and I drank together for six years. Both active alcoholics. Drunk daily, living a very weird and unstable life. I got tired of it eventually and quit.
I am now working my Al-anon, ACA, AA, OA programs and hubby is still drinking and living a weird upside down life style.
