Well, my AH has been gone all week helping out his parents and I'm just going to say it has felt wonderful!! The house is clean, calm, peaceful, serene, restful and quiet. My son has felt it too, I think. This truly has helped to open my eyes to what my life could look like if I ever make the decision to end our marriage. Times like these really do help me ~ I am in the process of detaching from him completely and though my growth has been slow, I am growing and changing.

I just wanted to share this with you all!

I remember being home alone for a few days while living with my EX.
Those tough days in recovery living with an alcoholic took their toll and time home alone were a beautiful break from it all.

I understand more why full time caregivers needs the same kind of breaks from their work.
