Is there a way to not get notified by e mail when someone responds to a message i wrote? My husband and I share e mail and I don't want him to know what I am writing. I don't need any more anger issues with him. Any information how I can stop responses to my e mail address would be appreciated. And thanks to all who made me feel not so alone in this problem! |

Yikes, that should have done it. Maybe a site moderator will be along to further explain. Another thought is that you could easily sign up for a free on-line e-mail account that only you would have access to. I know Yahoo.com offers free e-mail accounts. good luck |

I believe you need to unsubcribe to the thread under your profile. I am going to check it out but that should do it. Hmmm, wrong thing......I think what was said above should have worked about editing your options. Not sure what is going on. I guess a forum director will need to check it out. Sorry I couldn't help. |

Sadwife All your options seem to be set correctly and you shouldn't be getting E-Mail for messages or for notification of posts. I'll have Jon take a look and see if he can fix it.

When I reset my option to get no e mail,it took a few days before the e mail stopped. And you still want to make sure you are not subscribed to topics...I think.Hope that helps ![]() phoenix

I know I was worried about bookmarking this site as a favorite - so I bookmarked the AA site, so if he pulls it up, he probably isn't going to want to read about AA. When I log in, I go to the bottom of the page and switch to the Al-Anon site. I know - I would be really worried if he ever read this. Yet I need a place where I can be honest about my feelings. Good luck. |

I had that same thought about what I was posting here too.. I didnt want him to know that I was venting about him and then I thought why the heck not?!?!? I have a right to express what I feel about what is going on in MY life... He isnt going to listen and respect what I have to say but I know that you all will.. So if he cant deal with it its his problem... Well when he is home and sees that I am here reading and posting he finds something else to and and tries not to be the least bit interested... I did tell him before he left on vacation that he should go into the AA forum and do some reading and if he saw anything that felt like it might fit and bit he should keep reading and if it didnt then I wouldnt say another word about it... |
