I'm moving - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Well, the day is here and I am moving...Yay! I am moving from the south to the north.

This is kind of a big deal because it is based on decisions we made without consulting messed up relatives..just what was good for us..took a position that was good for us, even though the messed up relatives wanted us to work with them in their buisness again, move near them, ect...bleeeech

So no...we didn't do that...I remember feeling giddy when one of the relatives in question, asked me...."So are you guys coming?" (to move near them again) I said, "I don't know exactly what we are doing, but I can tell you with full confidence, the decision will be based on what is good for us and not ANY ONE ELSE."

So I'll be on SR again in a week or so...depends on how fast we can get internet again...I will miss the support, but, I'll be back.....

I hear you hope2bhappy....I am NOT knocking the south...hehe...born and raised daaahliiinn...this job doesn't give you a choice! It is a great job, though...

What do we have up North that ya'll don't have down South? Well, it's a balmy 34 degrees here in NY, 27 with the wind chill, so I'm guessing "frostbite".

Why are you coming up here again? :P

LOL.....We are moving for work...hubby got a great position...I LOVE THE NORTH....we have a cabin and property in Maine....and yes....we have spent an ENTIRE winter in the cabin....it was heaven...I love the snow...We move around for work...Classic case of "wanting what you haven't had"...grew up in the south and promised myself snow!

I even married a "Northerner", LOL.....The north and the south...we catch hell all the time from both sides...and there is our son...caught in the middle...just kidding...hehehe

I think by the time you read this you will be moved and getting settled. Maine "out-colds" downstate NY by about one million degrees, so you will be able to tell this lifelong Northerner what cold really means.
