Count down to Friday

Divorce court date has finally come near. Friday, July 20th. It's been a long time coming - it was filed October 2nd of last year.

Stbxah called last night - wanted to know what I wanted.
(As if he hasn't been told before) - supervised visitation only.
'That's BS' he said - he was never going to go for that.
Blah, blah, blah, quack, quack, quack.
He was supposed to meet with his lawyer today - and my lawyer was going to check with his lawyer later and see what could be arranged out of court.
Well, my mother in law went to pick stbxah up to take him to lawyer's (stbxah doesn't have his driver's license until 09/07 - providing he pays his fines) but she ended up calling the lawyer and saying stbxah was drunk and wasn't going to be there.
I guess his lawyer isn't expecting him to show on Friday, he expects my mother-in-law to be there.
I'm not getting my hopes up.
A girlfriend of mine said she was going to be there with me.

Of course, after the divorce is over then it's the bancruptcy. I don't know if the kids and I will be able to stay in the house (I will need to refinance to get his name off the house) and no one will make a loan to me.
I'll worry about that later.

Hi crisscross.....I happen to be a Sr Loan Officer and I believe that there is a loan for everyone...go see a broker.....pm me if you want some other options for your situation ok. (((((((HUGGS))))))))

I was getting ready to get on the computer and vent about the court system.
My lawyer called me at 3:30 and told me that the court administrator had called both lawyers and said that there would not be a judge there tomorrow. And they put us first on the list for AUGUST 28TH!! Over a month away!!

Then stbxah calls - talks to the kids first then to me. He said, "I hope your happy, you got everything you want." I am of course confused by this and he explains that his mom brought the papers over for him to sign (because he's to sick to go anywhere) - and then she took them to the lawyer - just today.

I haven't heard from my lawyer yet - if it's true or not.

Sounds a bit confusing but just keep your head up! Janit is right there is a loan out there for everyone if it even comes to that. It is hard not to worry when we are in situations that we feel like the world is crashing on us-but this to shall pass and think and know that you are doing the right thing for yourself and your children! That is the most wonderful feeling!
