Freedom - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Last nights meeting was about Freedom......

It got me thinking -

Because I am in Al Anon, SP & working my program - Today I am free of worry & fear. I no longer worry if he will be drunk by the time I get home from work, I no longer worry if he is going to come home, I no longer spend hours stairring out of the window waiting for him to pull up, & I no longer fear another DUI.

I finally have freedom-

I do what I want to do when I want to do it. I no longer fret over his drinking. He doesn't decide how I spend my days &/or my nights.

BUT most importantly what FREEDOM has given me - is the pernmission to live my life my way & the desire to learn who I am.

I have admitted that I am powerless over alcohol & AH.

Letting go of his drinking has given me peace.
