For a while there we could have 8. Will we be able to use more smilies in the future? Three isn't very many. Thanks for hearing me.

The problem is that the smilie permissions are tied into the image permissions. 8 smilies wouldn't be bad, but 8 large images would be bad. That would use a lot of bandwidth and make it hard for members with slow internet access to load the pages.

It's not a "no" yet, but we would need to give it some thought on how to do it.
