I've lost count of how many times this has happened? What's going on. Is there a way to have more time to write? I've even copied my post before sending just in case and that has saved me a few times. When I forget, all is lost. Do you only want quick replies and no stories?

Thanks Denoraphy, I'll try that, it kinda makes sense (quick reply). Thanks for the compliment on my photos.

Do I have to check the remember me box each time I log in?

If you check the remember me box and leave the site without logging out you will still be logged in when you bring the site up again. If you log out when you leave you will need to check the box each time you log back in.

My sessions seem to time out VERY often and I'm not sure why. I don't mean I log out, or even leave the page... but if, say, 5 minutes passes and I haven't clicked on a link (like if I'm in another window), then I click on a thread, I'm suddenly logged out. Will "Remember me" fix that as well? Is there a way to set how long you'll stay logged in during any given session? I've checked the User CP but haven't found anything like that. I've seen that option on some other boards, though, so maybe I just don't know where to find it here. |

Hey Trying, Yes, the "remember me" button has solved that problem for me. You can even open multiple pages if that is checked. I now can take all the time I need without fear of deletion. I'm in a habit now of checking that box. Prior to the fix, I would copy the post before submitting the comment. This has saved me a few times. You may also try the "post reply" at the top of the page instead of the "quick reply" at the bottom. Hope this helps. I have followed your progress. Keep up the good work!

Thank you, I will give that a try. But it will have to wait until Saturday when I get my laptop back. Right now I'm on the desktop and hubby still doesn't know about my problem or this site... :s |

| I hit send and find that I've timed out or something
Well blogs and forums with any site is always supported to make more people aware of the things they dont know. Well i think here we can get more what we expected. If you're anything like me, the answer is lots. What's worse is that you're usually kicked out of whatever page context you were working in. You have to manually log in again, remember what you were doing, then navigate back to where you were and resume your work. Mack |

I agree sspl01, it was so frustrating to me that I just logged off. The good news is that this was only happening the first few days. I have not had that happen again. (click "remember me" box, use "post reply" at top of page, copy your work before sending)
